What to do in Toledo?

First of all, depending on the way you have chosen to come to Toledo, we advise you to follow a series of recommendations.

If you arrive in Toledo by train or bus, you can take the urban bus at the same station (€1.40 per person), which will take you to the Plaza de Zocodover, social center of the city, and the place where all our routes begin.

Another option is to take the station a taxi, which for about €6 will leave you in the same square, or even if you are not in a hurry, you can walk from the station to the escalators of the Palacio de Congresos, which also end in the Plaza de Zocodover, in a walk of Approximately 20 minutes.

If you come in your own car, you can either leave it in one of the car parks that you will see indicated within the city, such as the Palacio de Congresos or Corralillo de San Miguel, next to the Alcázar, or in the free car park on the esplanade near Train station, and from there, taking a walk of about 10 minutes, you will reach the escalators that take you to the Plaza de Zocodover.

We do not recommend looking for free parking inside the historic quarter, since it is a restricted parking area for residents.

Once in Plaza de Zocodover, if you have arrived early in the morning, you can take a walk seeing the façade of the Santa Cruz hospital or the Alcázar , or have a coffee on a terrace, and afterwards, if you want to make the most of your visit, we recommend you make our tourist bracelet route.

It starts at 11:30 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, in which for €20 per person you will learn from the hand of our official guides, both the history of Toledo, and the interior of 5 of the 7 monuments that are included in said bracelet, ending at 2:00 p.m. in the center of the Jewish quarter, where you will find restaurants of all kinds and prices, where you can eat quietly or have a quick snack.

If you visit us on a Sunday, we recommend you take the 11:30am route Main Museums of Toledo, in which for €12 per person we will visit the Alcázar, the El Greco Museum and the Tránsito Synagogue, tickets included in the price.

After eating, you can either visit the other two monuments included in your bracelet, or get lost in the labyrinthine streets of Toledo and take the opportunity to see the shops of all kinds that you can find in any street or square.

To finish getting to know Toledo, in the afternoon-night, you can follow our Toledo Underground route, which begins at 6:30 p.m. every day, and in which we will visit 5 spaces The underground that you can only get to know accompanied by an official guide.

If you come on a weekend and are not in a hurry to return, you can also do on Fridays and Saturdays the route of Legends and secrets of Toledo, at 8:00 p.m., in which you will get to know the romantic neighborhood of the Convents and Sheds, while we tell you the anecdotes, curiosities and legends that have made Toledo famous.

In addition to the itinerary that we recommend, there are many interesting things to do and see daily in Toledo, exhibitions, fairs, markets, etc, so if you need advice and help before or during your visit, call or write to us, and we will be happy to help you.
